In 1995, Mr. Ramsey became acquainted with a person who designed Bead Work Patterns using graph paper; laboriously coloring each cell one by one. Over the next year, Mr. Ramsey designed and programmed "The Bead Pattern Designer" software with much help from Beadwork Designers and hobbyists he met on the Internet.
In 2001, Mr. Ramsey released AutoBead, a program that automatically creates patterns from an image file.
In 2003, the current versions of both Bead Pattern Designer and AutoBead were released. These programs have been packaged for sale on a single CD and are compatiable with Windows XP and later. To use the programs on Windows 7, XP Mode must be downloaded and installed from the Microsoft Download Center. XP Mode is a FREE download.
Today, the company's primary business activity is supporting Beadworkers and the Beading industry.
